Since its inception in 2001, originally named Unity Utah, Equality Utah has supported hundreds of LGBTQ and allied candidates for elected office, advocated for marriage equality, and successfully passed non-discrimination legislation in 20 municipalities and at the state level. The organization has members all over the state, including active chapters in St. George and Moab. EU continues to have strong relationships throughout the community, including with the LDS Church.

Equality Utah is devoted to creating a fair and just Utah. Recently, the organization launched a video series to shine the light on issues of transgendered Utahns. The organization continues to be involved in youth and school programs protecting young people from bullying and abuse, and providing an ongoing, strong voice for all in our community.
